Over this past year, a project has been conceived by students from Montreal’s McGill and Concordia University. Preliminary research efforts are currently underway in order to develop a project with clear objectives and an overall plan to achieve those goals. The students involved in the project have been highly committed to pushing the project forward and has compiled an impressive list of possible contacts that has help lay the groundwork. The project’s central focus has been to develop a project that will centre on information technology. This will likely see the delivery of a certain form of telemedicine, whereby technology will allow for the delivery of medicine to those who are in most dire need to obtain medical support. As this project continues to take shape, members will likely visit a suitable site in India which would be most appropriate to undertake this project. Local contacts will also be scouted as this project continues to be developed.

The development in India is currently a priority for the SGH club during the period that we are laying the groundwork for the project. As this project is in its initial stages of development, there is a need for dedicated individuals who would be willing to commit for this project.
