Massachusetts General Hospital

Besides directing volunteer operations at the hospital, the volunteer staff at MGH have always been a strong advocate of improving healthcare services around the world. Ms. Patricia Rowell, in particular, has already been an instrumental advisor for our organization. As President of the New England Association of Directors of Health Care, Ms. Patricia Rowell has worked on organizing volunteer programs in several areas throughout Eastern Europe. Furthermore, as the director of the MGH Volunteer Department, Ms. Rowell has lent her expertise to help supervise our fundraising work, develop awareness workshops in Boston, and be a liaison with healthcare institutions around North America for our organization’s annual projects. Last year, in particular, Ms. Rowell played an active role in the organization’s first project in Southeast Asia by applying her experiences to help me to develop a sustainable volunteer program within the Malaysian community.
